1 - Gather your materials and tools

 

2 - Print and cut

Seam and hem allowances are already included.

 

4 - Label your pieces

For clarity, we made the wrong side of our fabric darker.

 

5 - Hem the pocket

  • Use 3/4 inch hem allowance

  • We chose a single-fold hem and finished it with a double-needle topstitch What should I choose?

 

6 - Attach the pocket

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose to fold the edges and finished them with an edgestitch.

 

7 - Sew the shoulder seams

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a stretch stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

8 - Sew the armhole seams

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a stretch stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

9 - Sew the side seams

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a stretch stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

10 - Create the cuffs

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a stretch stitch

13 - Create the bottom band

15 - Sew the hood seam

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

16 - Hem the hood

  • Use 1 & 1/2 inch hem allowance

  • We chose a single-fold hem and finished it with a double-needle topstitch

 

17 - Sew the neckline seam

  • Use 3/8 inch seam allowance

  • We chose plain seams with a stretch stitch and finished them with an overcast stitch

 

18 - Do a little dance!
